Biltmore has started planning for a second hotel at Biltmore Estate with construction slated to begin by mid-October.

Plans for the new Village Hotel call for 209 guestrooms, and opening is planned for November 2015. Reservations for a stay at the new property will be available starting spring 2015. The hotel will create around 230 jobs.

Village Hotel on Biltmore Estate will be a four-story, 130,000 square-foot hotel adjacent to the Winery in Antler Hill Village.

Dining options will include a casual restaurant and bar offering a small plate tasting menu, Biltmore wines, craft beers and signature cocktails. The lobby will feature an "open kitchen" concept, with freshly prepared on-the-go food and drink options. In addition, guests can enjoy other dining options nearby in the village – Bistro, Cedric's Tavern and the Creamery.

The hotel's amenities will include an outdoor swimming pool, fitness center and complimentary shuttle service around the estate.

The four-star Inn on Biltmore Estate, with 201 rooms and nine suites, opened in 2001.
