Small businesses can win $10,000 in branding services

ASHEVILLE – Celebrating its fourth anniversary, Kudzu Branding Co. is giving away $10,000 in services to help one small business grow.

In celebration of the Small Business Administration’s Small Business Week and SCORE’s 50th anniversary, Kudzu will hold a competition to find one deserving small business, to be selected through social media, to receive the grand prize.

“My husband, Kenny Capps, and I started our business four years ago with the help of SCORE, A-B Tech Small Business Center, Mountain BizWorks and Leadership Asheville,” said Murphy Funkhouser Capps, Kudzu Branding Co. owner/creative director.

“It’s our intention to make this competition an annual event, as payback to the community that has supported us and contributed to our success and growth as a small business,” she said

On May 16, Kudzu will give away a promotional package worth $10,000 in services, consisting of brand consultation, graphic design, web design and printing. The last date for entries is April 30. A panel of six Kudzu staff members and strategic partners will select the top five entrants and post their submissions on Kudzu’s website for voters to make their selection. Voting will be held from May 2-15.
